It was a fun time at Mercer Island Grounds, where the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Mercer Island Screaming Eagles tangled.

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles downed the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 7-6, at Mercer Island Grounds. Chut-sai Meng led the way, going 2-for-5 for Mercer Island. At 31-22, the Screaming Eagles are currently 4th in the Premier AA.

Meng contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Mercer Island in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Meng took a changeup from Lucas van Halteren and stroked the home run to left-center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Screaming Eagles to leap in front, 3-1.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Meng.
