Evergreens Knock Off Shredders at Evergreen Park

The Portland Evergreens downed the Hollywood Shredders, 7-5, at Evergreen Park. The Evergreens were led by Richard Jost, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. At 57-42, Portland is in third place in the Premier League.
Portland grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Jost, who finished 4th in the PL in home runs with 27 in 2039, hit a 3-run home run. His 17th home run of the season put the Evergreens out in front, 6-3.
"We take it day by day here," said Jost, "and today was a good one for us."
