Getting a good performance from catcher Brian Drake, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Westwood Sixshooters, 5-2. Drake belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Screaming Eagles. Luke Corner earned the save for Mercer Island, his 2nd of the year. Mercer Island now has a 3-game win streak.

Drake had a key at-bat for Mercer Island early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Mercer Island an early 3-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Drake told the Mercer Island Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
