The Crescent City Krewe topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 5-4, with youngster Dustin Damitz playing a key role. Damitz was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Krewe in the win. Taine Poutini got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 3. The third-place Krewe are now 24-17, the Screaming Eagles 22-19.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Martin Stevens drew a walk. The Krewe went on to win.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Damitz.
