2-1 Win by Shooters Continues Hot Start
|
The Springfield Shooters grabbed a 2-1 win over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Springfield Stadium. Springfield center fielder Jorge Rocha went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk to earn player of the game honors. Craig Jones closed the game out for Springfield, earning his 1st save. Springfield has now won 3 in a row.
Bo Rajat dealt the Thunder Hawks a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Springfield leading 1-0, Rajat, who is tied for 9th in the PAA in home runs with 6, hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rajat said.
