8-2 Win by Shooters Continues Hot Start
|
Benefiting from Jorge Rocha's productive game, the Springfield Shooters downed the Crescent City Krewe, 8-2. Rocha was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Shooters. Vasquo Lousada picked up the save for Springfield, his 6th of the year. Springfield is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Springfield used the clutch hitting of Bo Rajat to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shooters ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rocha. "And not try to do too much."
