Portland and Buffalo duked it out at Beyond the Wall and the Evergreens came out victorious.
Portland Evergreens starter Jason Poulter was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-2. Poulter went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 11-4. Joo-hyun Pak locked down his 26th save.
Portland took a 4-2 lead on Yosuke Daisen's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Buffalo pitcher Keith Rojas in the top of the eighth.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Poulter.
Today's win puts Portland at 56-40, while Buffalo falls to 53-43.
