The Crescent City Krewe eked out a 2-1 win versus the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Field of the Krewe. Nobody did more than pitcher Willard Kanjuchi, who captured player of the game honors. The Fighting Imps, at 8-22, have lost 8 in a row.

Norbert Schalk hit a 2-run triple off John Fleming in the bottom of the third, which put the Krewe in front, 2-0. Schalk had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.

"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Ithaca manager Lou Boone, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
