Savinon Helps Olympia Cruise to 12-3 Win

The Olympia Ogres knocked off the Akron Blimps, 12-3, at The Ogre Den. Pepe Savinon was named player of the game for Olympia. He produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 5. Esteban Vásquez got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Akron's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Olympia center fielder Jeffery Smith staked his team to an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run with the bases loaded.
