Victory Over Fighting Imps Takes Ft. Polk South to 18-9
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 8-4, at Imps Park today. Leading the charge for Ft. Polk South was center fielder Tim Carson. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jeremy Bearimy earned the save for Ft. Polk South, his 1st. The losing streak for Ithaca has now reached 5 games.

Carson contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ft. Polk South in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Carson took a fastball from Luis Matos and stroked the home run to right. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Thunder Hawks to leap in front, 2-1.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Carson. "The only team that can beat us is us."
