Yucca Valley and Monroeville duked it out at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium and the Yellows came out victorious.

In a tight game between the Yucca Valley Yellows and the Monroeville Yinzers, pitcher Stanley Davis was terrific on the mound. The Yucca Valley right-hander was named the player of the game in Yucca Valley's 3-0 win. Graviel Azevedo closed the game out for Yucca Valley, earning his 1st save.

Davis, a native of Powder Springs, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Monroeville hitters off-balance, while giving the Yellows 8 quality innings. Davis threw 101 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 5.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Davis.

Yucca Valley is now 20-5, 3½ games up in the Menard's A.
