Victory Over Krewe Takes Ft. Polk South to 14-8
|
Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks starter Masaki Ito was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Crescent City Krewe, 7-2. Crescent City has now lost 4 straight.
Ft. Polk South relied on the hitting of Gabriel Obregón to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 1-0. For the game, Obregón had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Obregón told reporters after the game.
