Ft. Polk South catcher Dermott Mann made his presence felt in the 8-3 Thunder Hawks triumph over the Olympia Ogres. Mann was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The win was Scott Richardson's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. José Torres took the loss for Olympia. The Ogres, now 5-14, continue their slow start.

Mann came through with some timely hitting for Ft. Polk South. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Mann hit a 0-2 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season made it 4-2, Ft. Polk South.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Mann.
