Akron rode a decent outing from starter Leonardo Sánchez to victory over the Crescent City Krewe at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The final score was 6-3. Losses have been few and far between for the Krewe so far this season. Their record drops to 14-5.

John Birges had a chance to do some damage in the top of the ninth. With Crescent City trailing 6-2, Crescent City had the bases loaded. Birges hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Crescent City would not finish the comeback.
