Ogres Rally For Late Win Over Mariachis
The Olympia Ogres picked up a win at The Ogre Den, knocking off the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 4-2. Starting pitcher Roble Gichinga played a key role in the triumph. Olympia reliever Eugene Bell picked up the win to move to 1-0. Fernando Campos suffered the loss. Zach Brown closed it out for his 4th save.

Had Alfonso Pereyra not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Pereyra hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Ogres.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Gichinga said after the game.

The Ogres, now 4-13, have not found much traction so far in 2042.
