Yellows Topple Caterpillars as Posner Shines
The Yucca Valley Yellows beat the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 12-6, at The Cocoon. Yucca Valley catcher Truman Posner earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jody Lewis, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 5 runs on 10 hits in 7 innings. Yucca Valley has an impressive 16-4 record.

With Yucca Valley leading 5-4 in the top of the fifth, Posner came up to bat against Grand Forks pitcher Itze Pankhurst. Posner hit a fastball to left for a 2-run single. His 8th hit of the season put the Yellows on top, 7-4.

"We got the victory," said Posner. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
