Ko Shines in Blimps Win
The Akron Blimps defeated the Olympia Ogres, 11-5, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Akron right fielder Ju-ho Ko was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 4 runs. Leonardo Sánchez picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 1-0. Olympia, at 3-12, has had a dismal start to the season.

Ko had a key at-bat for Akron early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and gave Akron an early 3-2 lead.

In comments to the Akron Times, Ko admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
