|
Springfield got a strong outing from Sang-hwa Kim as the Shooters defeated the Westwood Sixshooters, 6-1, at Springfield Stadium. Kim, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Li-chi Lou picked up the save, his 1st.
Springfield grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases empty, Joey Terry delivered a solo home run, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Shooters.
"Nervous? No," said Terry. "It was my time to shine."
The win leaves Springfield with a record of 6-4.
