Loss to Krewe Extends Olympia Losing Streak
|
The exploits of catcher Francisco Rojas helped the Crescent City Krewe defeat the Olympia Ogres, 8-1. Rojas was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Krewe raised their record to 6-3.
In the top of the fifth, with Crescent City leading 1-0, third baseman John Birges hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Don Johnson and put the Krewe ahead, 2-0.
"The vibe's good," said Crescent City manager Michael Garrett. "We've got to keep it going."
