Tomás Gálvez was instrumental in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Springfield Shooters. The designated hitter was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. The win was credited to Wynn Kelley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Zhi-qiang Ku took the loss. Ft. Polk South is now 5-1.
The Thunder Hawks were down to their final out when pinch hitter Aubrey Miller turned a 0-2 curveball from Zhi-qiang Ku into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Thunder Hawks Ballpark crowd go wild.
