Akron right-hander Rob Butler was in fine form, shutting out the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-0. The Blimps, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Alohinani Puanani was vital part of the Akron win. He was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third with two out, Puanani hit a 2-run double. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Blimps.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Butler.
