Walleye Continue Skid Thanks to Harrison, Jets
|
Kennesaw third baseman Wally Harrison was instrumental in his team's 9-1 win over the Walla Walla Walleye. Harrison went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Jets. Stu Washington picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 1-1. The win gives the Jets a record of 4-6.
Harrison contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Kennesaw in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Harrison took a fastball from Roberto Trevino and stroked the double to right. His 2nd double of the season allowed the Jets to leap in front, 3-1.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Kennesaw manager John Sirica.
