Despite a great performance by Biloxi first baseman Randy Moore, the Ottawa Nationals defeated the Shuckers by the score of 6-5 at Nationals Park. Moore went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Ottawa now sits at 33-68, while Biloxi falls to 53-48.

The Shuckers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Nationals going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old first baseman Juan Romero came to the plate. Romero hit a 3-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Biloxi hurler Ron Holland. It was Romero's 5th home run of the year.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Romero.
