The Virginia Beach Whales downed the Biloxi Shuckers, 20-1, at The Pizza Oven. The Whales were led by Óscar Cardozo, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 6. Javier Iturburua earned the save for Virginia Beach, his 1st of the year. The Whales have an impressive 56-35 record.

Cardozo put Virginia Beach up, 8-0, when he hit a grand slam home run off Morgan Novak in the top of the fourth. His 7th home run of the season helped the Whales capture the win.
