Shannon Goes Off, But Saboteurs Win
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Robert Shannon, the Lancaster Farmers suffered a 11-8 loss to the Toledo Saboteurs. Shannon was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Nick Campbell earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 5 earned runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Jim Harris sewed up the save, his 18th.

Toledo relied on the hitting of Ron Ficco to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 3-0. For the game, Ficco had 1 triple and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"We got the victory," said Ficco. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
