Shuckers Beat Sonics in 11

Atlantic City pitcher Calle Lagerkvist gave the Shuckers all they could handle, but in the end, Biloxi left Sonics Ballpark with a 4-3 win. Lagerkvist allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits over 6 innings. Biloxi reliever Luis Valdés was credited with the win, to go to 4-2. Chris Plautz took the loss for Atlantic City. The Shuckers bumped their record to 45-42 with this latest triumph.
Biloxi used the timely hitting of Joselito Amengual to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Shuckers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Atlantic City manager Juan López, "let me know."
