Shuckers Slip Past St. Petersburg, 10-9
The Biloxi Shuckers topped the St. Petersburg Thunder by the score of 10-9, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Benigno Bachelay. Bachelay went 3-5 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Shuckers on the day. Biloxi reliever Luis Valdés was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Benny Berry took the loss. Stephen McQueen recorded his 1st save for Biloxi.

Joselito Amengual's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Benny Berry for a run-scoring single. It put Biloxi in front, 8-7.
