Ghosts Topple Pilgrims as Booty Shines
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder General Booty, the Casper Ghosts defeated the Providence Pilgrims, 7-3. Booty was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Ghosts. Jordon Glen Anderson was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. The Ghosts bumped their record to 41-34 with this latest triumph.
Casper center fielder Thinley Tshering helped the Ghosts to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the 25-year old center fielder stroked a 2-run double. For the game, Tshering was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Casper manager José Zamora.
