Shredders Throttle Voodoo, 7-1

The Hollywood Shredders defeated the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-1, at The Voodoo Lounge today. Leading the charge for Hollywood was third baseman Lautaro Lacasa. He went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. Tony Alfonso, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 11-3. The Shredders have an impressive 54-34 record.
Hollywood used the clutch hitting of Richard Trevithick to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Shredders manager Bill Cheese, "I like our chances."
