The Lancaster Farmers topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-4, with youngster Fabrice Boyer playing a key role. Boyer went 3-4 with 3 singles for the Farmers in the win. The winner was Lancaster reliever Dylan Mugglestone, now 1-0. The loser was Pascal Durand. Today's win puts Lancaster at 28-39, while Tacoma falls to 20-47.
Boyer had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Pascal Durand, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Farmers a 5-4 lead. It was the 41st hit of the year for Boyer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Boyer told the Lancaster Times.
