Mike Hunt did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Biloxi Shuckers from losing, 7-6, to the Tacoma Fur Traders at The Pizza Oven. Hunt went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Reliever Hang-fu Xiong picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Steve Davis took the loss. Ricky Mina got credit for the save for Tacoma. It was his 9th of the year.

Terry Boyle aided the Tacoma cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Boyle.

The Fur Traders improved to 19-44.
