The Tacoma Fur Traders bested the Virginia Beach Whales, 6-2, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Hori Ikenaki was named player of the game. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Tacoma is now 11-28, Virginia Beach 21-18.

Tacoma used the timely hitting of Toshiyuki Gato to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fur Traders on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
