Rails Bang Out 7-1 Win Versus Asheville
|
Richland starter Bumper Pool had a strong outing against the Asheville Highlanders at Rails Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-1 win. Pool went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-6. Poom Saksansin got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances.
Richland took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Steve Haley hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Rails.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Haley said.
Asheville has now lost 5 in a row.
