The Squirrel Hill Pierogis got a superb performance from right fielder Aubrey Magee. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Loons won the game, 8-5. In spite of the loss, Magee was named the player of the game. He was 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Minnesota reliever Vicente Dávila was the winner. His record is now 7-4. The losing pitcher was Artie O'Neal. Minnesota currently is in 10th place in the Menard's AA at 42-52.

José Garrastazu had a big 2-run double for the Loons in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Minnesota trailing 5-4 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a slider from Artie O'Neal and stroked the double to left. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Loons ahead, 6-5.

"We came out aggressive," said Loons manager Rafael Clemente. "We came out swinging the bats."
