Asheville starter David Fuentes had a strong outing against the Billings Polar Bears at Asheville Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 10-4 win. Billings has now lost 4 straight.

In the bottom of the 6th, shortstop Lane Ruffin gave Asheville the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Highlanders had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out double off Billings pitcher Marty Brooks changed that -- and Asheville went on to win.

"This was a good win for us," said Ruffin. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
