The White Walkers had to overcome a good performance from New Orleans pitcher Markus Widner to claim a 4-0 win at The Voodoo Lounge. Widner went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. Buffalo, now 5-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The outcome might have been different for Buffalo, had it not been for José Santos, the 32-year old shortstop . Santos stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put Buffalo up, 1-0. For the game, he was 3 for 7, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau.
