Barlow, Hops Too Much for Highlanders
With third baseman Richard Barlow leading the charge, the Yakima Hops defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 9-5, at Asheville Park. Barlow, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in total bases with 122, went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Yakima is now 38-35, while Asheville is 42-31.

Barlow came through with some timely hitting for Yakima. With the score 1-0 in the top of the first and one down, Barlow hit a 2-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season made it 4-0, Yakima.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Barlow said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
