Marquette starter Alfredo Romo pitched effectively against the Bethesda Atoms at Atoms Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. With the win, the Miners have a record of 38-33.

Bill Knight made it 4-3 in favor of Marquette when he delivered a run-scoring double. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Miners went on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Knight told the Marquette Daily News.
