The Charleston Battery got a strong performance from pitcher Hildebrand Michielsen, who stymied the Buffalo offense en route to a 3-2 win at Beyond the Wall. Charleston has now won 3 straight, while the White Walkers have lost 3 in a row.
Charleston used the bat of Mariano Juderías to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Battery ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Charleston manager Matt Hunt said.
