Love Boats Fall Short at Squirrel Hill
|
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 5-4, in M3L Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The player of the game was Squirrel Hill pitcher Tom Atkinson. Mike Davidson got the save, the 17th for him this season. Squirrel Hill, at 27-43, sits in last place in the Menard's AA.
Adam Cunningham aided the Squirrel Hill cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"We did enough to win," said Atkinson.
