The Richland Rails got a strong performance from pitcher Poom Saksansin, who stymied the Yakima offense en route to a 7-0 win at Rails Ballpark. Earning his 3rd save for Richland was Cameron Thoresen. The Rails, at 40-29, sit in third place in the Menard's AA.

Doyle Berkey dealt the Hops a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Richland leading 1-0, Berkey, who is tied for 4th in the 3AA with a .953 OPS, hit a first pitch slider for a 2-run double.

"It feels good to get this one," Berkey told the Richland Daily News.
