Polar Bears Continue Skid Thanks to Whitney, Athletic Club KC Academy

The Athletic Club KC Academy downed the Billings Polar Bears, 4-3, at KC Academy Field. Ron Whitney led the way, going 2-for-2 for Athletic Club KC Academy. Bill Torres, the winner, improved to 5-4. He held the Polar Bears to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 0. Jorge Guarte converted his 7th save in 10 tries.
Athletic Club KC Academy took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ross Evans stroked a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Athletic Club KC Academy.
