Lemur Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Julian Lemur was at the head of a Irving hit parade today at Blue Sox Ballpark. The first baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Blue Sox to a 13-3 victory over the Marquette Miners.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Lemur told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Miners skipper Christos Galpin said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Julian Lemur hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Cameron Sellers in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Hitting .311 to date, Lemur has 10 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 50 games.
