Battery Continue Skid Thanks to Ohm, Patriots
|
The Boston Patriots defeated the Charleston Battery, 6-1, at Charleston Armory today. Leading the charge for Boston was designated hitter Jae-woo Ohm. He was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Boston reliever José Ruíz was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Miguel Angel Martínez took the loss for Charleston. With the win, Boston boosts its record to 6-2.
Ohm came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With the score 2-1 in the top of the fifth and two down, Ohm hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season made it 3-1, Boston.
Ohm told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
