Blue Sox Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Irving Blue Sox starter Jim Porter was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Richland Rails, 5-3. Irving has now won 4 games in a row.
Irving used the bat of Nathan Shallcross to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Sox ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Irving manager Dave Lee.
