Barton Springs shortstop John Polk had a good game, even if his team did not. The Blues dropped a 7-6 decision to Yakima at Hops Park. Polk went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. With the win, Yakima goes to 17-16, while the Blues fall to 16-17.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Yakima designated hitter Rodrigo Jiménez, facing Danny Kas, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hops the 7-6 win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Jiménez.
