Buffalo got a terrific performance from left fielder Dread Roberts, but it wasn't enough to beat the New Orleans Voodoo. New Orleans won the Beyond the Wall contest, 6-5. Roberts was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Buzzy Grossman got credit for the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 2 runs on 10 hits in 6 innings. David Flowers finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

The result might have been different for New Orleans, had it not been for John Clark. The left fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 6-3. For the game, Clark had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"I know we have our doubters," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

The 9th-place Voodoo lifted their record to 19-53.
