Lake Monsters Clip Men in Tight Contest
In a close game at Monster Field, the Vermont Lake Monsters edged the Florida Men, 4-3. Vermont right fielder Enrique Martínez earned the nod as player of the game. He went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Juan Santos in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Tomás Mata took the loss. The Lake Monsters go to 42-48, putting them 7th in the Silver AAA.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Martínez hit a slider from Tomás Mata for a run-scoring single. The Lake Monsters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Martínez said.
