Atoms Roll to 8-2 Win Over Hops
Hops Park was the site for M3L Double A action featuring the Yakima Hops and Bethesda Atoms.

The Bethesda Atoms defeated the Yakima Hops, 8-2, at Hops Park. Byron Shadix was named player of the game for Bethesda. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 4 he knocked in. Bethesda reliever Nicolas Alonso picked up the win to move to 1-0. Ernesto Morín suffered the loss.

Shadix came through with some timely hitting for Bethesda. With the score 2-1 in the top of the third and two down, Shadix hit a 2-2 changeup for a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season made it 4-1, Bethesda.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Bobby Buck said.

The win takes Bethesda to 5-5.
