Dodos Top Supernovas in Extras
|
Hialeah designated hitter Ramón Morterero was a significant contributor in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Scranton Supernovas. He went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times for Hialeah. Hialeah reliever Hakan Yilmanz was credited with the win, to go to 5-3. Santiago Morán took the loss for Scranton. Mike Park picked up the save for Hialeah, his 7th of the year.
Hialeah used the clutch hitting of Richard Edwards to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Dodos ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Edwards.
The Dodos, at 46-38, sit in 4th place in the Silver AAA.
